From the moment we boarded the boat, we were greeted by a team of friendly and professional staff, each of whom made sure our journey was comfortable and informative. Our guide, Jay, was the highlight of the trip. His knowledge of the area, both in terms of history and geology, was exceptional. He shared fascinating details about the formation of the fjord, the unique wildlife, and the rich history of Milford Sound, keeping us captivated throughout the entire cruise. Jay's enthusiasm and passion for the region were contagious, making the experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, the rest of the staff were equally impressive. Helena, in particular, stood out for being incredibly helpful and attentive. Whether it was offering tips on where to take the best photos or assisting with any questions we had, she made sure everyone was well taken care of. The boat itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of spots to enjoy the stunning views of the fjords, waterfalls, and dramatic cliffs. The weather was perfect, but even if it had been a bit rainy, the boat had plenty of indoor space with large windows for great visibility. Overall, Southern Discovery Cruises provided an exceptional experience. The combination of stunning scenery, expert commentary from Jay, and outstanding customer service from the team made it a memorable day.
