Visit the professionals at Pro Acupuncture Dunedin to gain optimal health and wellness, and experience pain relief through ancient Chinese medicine.
Experience the holistic benefits of traditional Chinese acupuncture methods & Tuina massage at Pro Acupuncture.
Although brought to New Zealand during the gold rush era, acupuncture has long been used to treat a variety of health concerns in holistic Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Whether you’re dealing with muscular pains, stress, insomnia, or other internal pains, acupuncture can help restore energy flow back into its proper balance.
This ancient technique involves the insertion of very thin needles through the patient’s skin at specific points on the body called acupuncture points. The needles are inserted at various depths which stimulate the flow of energy around the network of pathways throughout the entire body resulting in a balance of energy and pain relief. Acupuncture has been proven to treat a broad range of painful ailments, and is a safe treatment suitable for all ages.
Tuina massage, also known as tui-na (pronounced twee-nah), is said to be the oldest technique of bodywork originated in ancient China. This technique uses many of the same principles of acupuncture but instead of needles, practitioners massage the acupressure points with their hands bringing balance to the body and alleviating pain.
Each session will be tailored to your specific needs and will include a 5-10 minute consultation, a 35-minute acupuncture treatment, and a 15-minute massage. All treatments will be carried out by expert acupuncturists and Chinese Medicine practitioners.
We look forward to providing you with pain alleviation and relaxation through our ancient Chinese modalities at Pro Acupuncture Dunedin.

I was passing by Dunedin and wanted to address some discomfort on my neck. I thought I would have some acupuncture on my neck to help with the tenderness but got to know the origin of the problem was on a completely different spot. Just one session helped lots with the discomfort and I will definitely go back to them when I am back to Dunedin.
Amazing experience, all the staff were super polite, I highly recommend this practice
I'd said the overall experience is good. I feel relaxed in the room. But there's no massage.
Very professional introduced himself and shook my hand which was nice. Asked all the right questions then just started stabbing me in my shoulder, hand & shin with the needles. I felt about 3 needles go in (not painful) of about 20. Nerve pain (sciatic) in leg decreased by 50% by the end of the session. 2 days later pain is still here but less inflammation n more manageable than b4. Hv already booked in to see him again. Let the stabbing continue 🫶👍

Great
Great session. I felt better after and the acupuncturist was helpful and suggested things to help me.
